January 2014 Appointments
Brazos County Sheriff Chris Kirk recently appointed four individuals as Deputy Sheriff’s. Jason Wager and Paul Prestwood were appointed as new Deputies, and Eric Caldwell and Christopher Braly as new Reserve Deputies. These four Deputies graduated from the CAPCOG/ BVCOG inaugural Basic Peace Office Academy in Brazos County on January 24, 2014. Jason began his career with the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office as a Civilian Animal Control Officer in the Livestock Unit, where he continues his service as a newly appointed Deputy. Paul began his career as a Detention Officer; he continues his service in the Intake and Release Division of the Brazos County Detention Center as a newly appointed Deputy. Eric is the Director of the IT Department for Brazos County, and Christopher is the Director of St. Joseph Hospital EMS. All four newly appointed deputies hold a Basic Peace Office License with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
